Bajaj Finserv Limited is one of India’s premier financial services companies. The company is based out of Pune, Maharashtra. One of the largest non-banking financial companies (NBFCs) in India, Bajaj Finance is owned by Bajaj Finserv. Bajaj Finserv was born after it was demerged from Bajaj Auto Limited in 2007. Bajaj Group had established this separate entity so that it could focus solely on the group’s financial services business. Bajaj Finance was placed under Bajaj Finserv in which it holds a 52.49 per cent stake. The demerger was finalised in February 2008. Subsidiaries of Bajaj Finance Ltd. include Bajaj Housing Finance which offers a range of housing finance solutions and Bajaj Financial Securities which is an all-in-one digital platform for retail and high-net-worth clients. It combines demat, broking and margin trade financing on a predominantly B2C platform. Bajaj Finserv also holds 74 per cent stake in Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Company and Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance Company respectively. Bajaj Finserv also owns a majority stake in Bajaj Finserv Direct Limited. Bajaj Finserv Health, Bajaj Finserv Ventures, Bajaj Finserv Asset Management and Bajaj Finserv Mutual Fund Trustee are a few other subsidiaries of Bajaj Finserv. The company plans to enter the mutual funds business. In 2023, it received the final approval from the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) to commence its mutual fund operations - as Bajaj Finserv Mutual Fund. As of March 2022, Bajaj Finserv had a network of over 1,400 branches and more than 60,000 distribution points across the country.

Products and services 

Bajaj Finserv provides a host of products and services in lending, insurance, wealth management and healthcare financing segments. As part of its lending business, Bajaj Finserv offers a variety of loans which include, but are not limited to, personal loans, home loans, business loans, loans for consumer durables, loans for automobiles, loans against property and gold loans. For its insurance business, Bajaj Finserv provides several insurance products and services. These include motor insurance, health insurance, home insurance and travel insurance. Under its life insurance business, Bajaj Finserv offers several term plans, ULIPs as well as retirement plans. As part of its healthcare financing business, Bajaj Finserv provides loans for medical treatments, surgeries and procedures.

Bajaj Finserv is listed on National Stock Exchange (NSE), Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX). Bajaj Finserv is a part of multiple indices like Nifty 50, Nifty 500, S&P BSE Sensex etc.
